Mission:

Innovate new tools to enable others to follow their passion and make the world more efficient, safer, and sustainable.

The Start to a Startup

Zender Industries became an idea in 2014 when John Zender started his college career at Washington State University. Knowing only a little about printers, he became intrigued and curious to know everything there is about them. Mentored by Jeff Kerr of Lobo CNC, he started designing Fusion Deposition Modeling (FDM) printers in 2013. Since then he hasn’t stopped.

Initially, Zender only built printers for himself to learn more about the engineering and computer science behind them. But after using other hobbyist cheap printers, his frustration with their basic struggles led to wanting to design reliable printers for the average consumer.

Vision:

Zender Industries is currently a 3D Printing startup, but planned to grow into multiple departments spanning across all types of engineering to help solve larger global problems.
